Asking for Credit


The Convenient Way to Request Credit

You can ask your friends and family in Barbados and abroad to send you Digicel credit using the Credit Me services.

Only Digicel prepaid customers can request credit via the Credit Me service. In order to request credit, your account balance must be less than BBD 10.00. Digicel prepaid customers may request credit from anyone with a mobile phone, anywhere in the world!

Sending a Credit Me request is quick and easy. Simple dial *127*1, area code, phone number*amount of credit being requested# SEND. For example, customer B wants to request BBD 20.00 from customer a with mobile number 261-0452. Customer B dials *127*12462610452*20# and presses SEND/CALL.

Sending Credit


The Convenient Way to Send Credit

Credit U is a service which allows you to share/transfer credit from your own postpaid or prepaid account to friend's or family's account by using your Digicel phone. You may transfer any amount between BBD 2.00 and BBD 200.00. Credit U transfer costs BBD 0.21.

Both Digicel prepaid and postpaid customers can send credit with Credit U, but only Digicel prepaid customer can receive credit this way.

Follow the steps below to use Credit U:

  1. Dial *128*1,area code, phone number*amount to be transferred# SEND. Wait for the confirmation message.
  2. For example, customer B wants to send BBD 20.00 to customer A with mobile number 260-000. Customer B will dial *128*1246260000*20# and then press SEND/CALL.
  3. To confirm, dial *128*1# and press SEND/CALL. Or to cancel, dial *128*2#
  4. Both sending and receiving users will receive a confirmation message.

To check your account balance, simply dial *120# and then press SEND/CALL.
